Our Commitment

RepairKitHub (operated by Canamax Corp, Wyoming USA) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.

Standards We Follow

We aim to conform to Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities.

Measures We Take

  • Semantic HTML structure (proper headings, landmarks, lists)
  • Alternative text on all product images
  • Keyboard navigation support throughout the site
  • Sufficient color contrast (minimum 4.5:1 for body text)
  • Screen reader compatibility (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
  • Resizable text up to 200% without loss of content or function
  • Visible focus indicators on interactive elements
  • Skip links for keyboard users
  • ARIA labels on interactive components
  • Touch targets sized 44×44 px or larger on mobile
  • Language attribute on the HTML element (lang="en" or lang="es")

Known Limitations

We are honest about areas where our site does not yet fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. We are actively working on the following:

  • AI-generated images: Some product images are AI-generated representative photos rather than real product photography. Alt text discloses this where applicable. We are progressively replacing AI images with real product photos as we secure direct supply relationships.
  • Legacy product descriptions: A small number of older product descriptions may have minor formatting issues (e.g., inconsistent heading hierarchy). We audit and clean these in batches.
  • Third-party content: Amazon affiliate widgets, embedded videos (YouTube), and social media plugins are governed by their providers' accessibility standards. We are not responsible for the accessibility of external sites we link to.
  • Color contrast on promotional badges: Some seasonal promotional badges may have lower contrast than 4.5:1. We are auditing and adjusting where needed.

We are actively reviewing and improving these areas as part of our ongoing accessibility work.

Assistive Technology Compatibility

Our site is designed to work with:

  • Screen readers: NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS / iOS), TalkBack (Android)
  • Speech recognition: Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Voice Control (macOS / iOS)
  • Browser zoom: Up to 200% without horizontal scrolling on most pages
  • Keyboard-only navigation: All interactive elements reachable via Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, and Space keys

Continuous Improvement

We conduct regular accessibility audits and incorporate user feedback to improve our site. This Accessibility Statement is reviewed and updated at least annually, or sooner when material changes are made to the site.

Third-Party Content

Some third-party content embedded on our site (Amazon affiliate widgets, embedded videos, social media plugins) may have varying accessibility levels. While we choose vendors who prioritize accessibility, we are not responsible for the accessibility of external sites we link to or content delivered through third-party services.
